Exactly 2 years before, this was the conversation between 2 Students of the Computer Science Department, let us call them Student-1 and Student-2 (or simply s1 and s2),

S1: Do you know Yesterday, Some of our seniors were placed at Infy, but I dont know the exact number

S2: Is it ?

S1: I dont know the exact number, but One senior from my bus named Jackson was also selected

S2: What did he say ?

S1: He said, During his interview, he was asked Why was he named Jackson

S2: What did he say for that ?

S1: He answered that His parents liked Pop Singer Jackson very much and that is why they have named him Jackson

S2: I do think this is a stupid question

S1: You will get all sorts of questions (like this) in your interview

S2: The only way to punish such companies is to get selected in their Selection process and reject their Job

On hearing this, Both laughed. And today, after 2 years, they still laugh !

Undoubtedly S1 was ravi and S2 was me.

Many students come to Engineering colleges with great ambitions. But only a very few live with that. Your ambitions should not be compensated for any reasons. I dont think there is any flaw in our education system.  Here is the proof for that.

I am happy that Indian kids are posing a great threat to “World Dada” !

Believe me I am still alive.

Many guys asked me why I was writing GATE for the second time, I replied them that I wanted to improve my scores, (As I only know that the previous scores were definetly not enough to get a disciplined course in any IIT). As Joel rightly said last year, there was 764 guys before me and I wanted to reduce that number.

I have made atleast 50 students to write GATE this year.

I was expecting around 5-6 students from my college to clear this year but only a couple did. My best wishes to both of them (Thileepan and Nirmal).

Though I planned to teach my friends for GATE (atleast) at the last moment, the hyderabad Interview was unexpected and because of that I wasn’t able to do what I wanted.

And for those of you who wanted to know what My improvement, here it is:

My percent has gone up by 3 %, My All India Rank has improved by 125 ranks, and finally my GATE score has improved by 175 points. ( I am Intentionally not telling my absolute marks ! )

I am getting more and more exposed with GATE, and I am gradually getting more confidence in this exam.

I still believe that I can make anyone clear GATE exam.

My predictions are going in the right directions. An interesting news about GATE,

GATE CS 2007 saw around 19K aspirants,

GATE CS 2008 saw around 21K aspirants,

Well this time GATE CS 2009 saw atleast 42K aspirants. I never know Recession would make this great impact on GATE. I am unable to predict cutoffs because of this great increase in number of aspirants.

Whatever be the case, Arjun Singh, Sonia Gandhi, and the whole of the UPA government is going to play some part of my game.

I dont know whether I have crossed the “Well” or not. I repeat:
